Early Childhood Education Professional Development Program (PDP)

The Professional Development Program (PDP) aims to keep qualified child care providers in the field by offering financial incentives. Incentives vary depending upon a provider’s education level, ranging from $100 for a family child care provider who has completed just one Early Childhood Education (ECE) unit, to a maximum of $3,500 awarded to a provider with a master’s degree and 24 or more ECE units.

Eligible providers:

  • Have worked at least two years in the field
  • Have worked at a licensed center based or family child care setting for at least one year
  • Have at least 12 ECE units*
  • Are currently working 30 hours or more each week
