| Early Childhood Education Professional Development Program (PDP) The Professional Development Program (PDP) aims to keep qualified child care providers in the field by offering financial incentives. Incentives vary depending upon a provider’s education level, ranging from $100 for a family child care provider who has completed just one Early Childhood Education (ECE) unit, to a maximum of $3,500 awarded to a provider with a master’s degree and 24 or more ECE units. Eligible providers: - Have worked at least two years in the field
- Have worked at a licensed center based or family child care setting for at least one year
- Have at least 12 ECE units*
- Are currently working 30 hours or more each week
To reapply for the program, participants must earn 2 or 3 ECE units and participate in a training to help them assess the quality of their programs. * Family Child Care Providers need a minimum of 1 ECE unit.
